Lightscapes is a photo series juxtaposing human-made forms to the natural landscape. The photos are taken in darkness, where the rectangular sculpture illuminates details normally unseen in the natural environment.
From an early age, the rectangle is a window that frames our ever-changing experience with the world – through our phones, televisions, and monitors. Yet despite its ubiquity, to see this shape framing and illuminating a natural landscape at night remains startling – perhaps at odds with our nature.
Photography is the medium I have chosen to capture these sights. I want to share the message and the thought-provoking moments the work has the power to unfold.

Now printing on aluminum using a ChromaLuxe process and offering other museum archival substrates.
